This is Justin. Being a big brother is fun! I'm not sure if Lizzie regards me as her brother or as her squeeze toy. She likes taking my nose and pulling it. And with the size of her fingernails, it HURTS!!!! But, thankfully, she doesn't do that all the time. It's really cool being a big brother!
China is a really cool place. It's fun, depending on where you are. I really don't like crossing the street. It's crazy! But seeing all the buildings and unique architecture is cool. I tried to draw some of the buildings, but it didn't turn out so well. Seeing the Great Wall was really cool! (-:
hey, this is ben. yeah, i'm really liking china and all, but i like my little sister better!!!!!! she is the cutest thing ever and she really likes me and justin. But, it's also fun to see the sights and the great wall. but i can't wait to get to minnesota and visit family!!!!!!!!! to my cousins and aunts and uncles and grandparents, you will absolutely love this little girl!!! she is the highlight of my "vacation" and i love china!!! as your reading this i am probably asleep but i wish you well and miss all of you. bye bye!!!!!(-:

You guys were made to be big brothers and are doing a fantastic job at it!! She looks like she is really bonding with you two and it is so wonderful to see how happy she has made the both of you!! yay!
You two are at the perfect age to have a little sister. She will always look up to you because you are her big, cool older brothers. Plus, you have the fun of being able to take care of her and watch her grow up. I am so glad you guys are having a good time. We all miss you here in Minnesota very much.

Becca is here visiting and she filled us in on your amazing news of adopting Lizzie! We are thrilled for you and for Lizzie to become part of your wonderful family. I loved the video of Lizzie's game of going between each of you and greeting you with a hug. It is exactly what Sonna is doing these days too! Sonna will be 16 months old in a few days so they are the same age. (: We send our love and prayers.

Wow. What a joy to watch the unfolding delight of Lizzie for you and you for Lizzie; could make a person cry, it could!
Ben and Justin, it looks like those "big brother lessons" are paying off --- you guys are not only taking wonderful care of Lizzie, but she's liking it! To rephrase Mr. Gilbert, of Gilbert and Sullivan, "She is blessed, and you are blessed, and all are blessed as blessed can be."
What an adventure for you...you get to travel halfway across the world to an exotic place and then come home with the most wonderful souvenir of all -- the needed, eagerly-awaited 5th member of your family.
And, we're SO eagerly waiting to see you all!

In church this morning, I was touched by the thought of Lizzie and Jake (Nederveld) coming into the lives of our Celebration community. They both struggled and yet both have such warm and loving families. I feel blessed to know they will be with us. (and their wonderful parents and siblings!)
